KRIZOR

KRIZOR

Foliar plant growth regulator with 6-benzyladenine and GA4+7 for fruit set, flower retention, fruit sizing and branching programs.

KRIZOR is a liquid plant growth regulator formulated with 6-benzyladenine (6-BA) and gibberellic acid GA4+7 in balanced concentrations.

The datasheet describes stimulation of cell division and elongation, improved fruit set and flower retention, larger fruit size, branching uses and reduction of russeting in pome fruit programs.

Key benefits and agronomic effects

  • Stimulates cell growth and active division of new plant tissues.
  • Improves fruit set and flower retention after flowering.
  • Increases final fruit size.
  • Reduces incidence of russeting in pome fruit trees.
  • Supports branching programs in nursery and orchard trees.

How it works / Technical advantages

The balanced combination of 6-BA and GA4+7 is described as stimulating cell division and elongation while supporting fruit-set, sizing and branching objectives.

Application rates and timing

Application Guidance: Use the crop- and objective-specific KRIZOR program shown in the datasheet, including the stated PHI and application timing.

Foliar application

CropsTimingDoseNotes
AppleEarly king bloom to early petal fall; optimal timing stated as 80% king bloom.1.2-2.3 L/haObjective: improve typiness. Single application. PHI 28 days.
AppleFirst application at early king bloom; second 3-21 days later when the remainder of the canopy comes into bloom.0.6-1.2 L/haObjective: improve typiness. Two applications. PHI 28 days.
AppleStart between bloom and petal fall; maximum 4 applications at 7-12 day intervals. Earlier applications, shorter intervals and higher rates are recommended under long, cold and wet conditions.250-500 ml/haObjective: reduce russet. PHI 28 days.
AppleWithin 24 hours after a frost event between early bloom and full bloom; allow trees to thaw before application.1.2-2.3 L/haObjective: increase fruit set after frost. PHI 28 days.
Apple nursery and orchard treesOrchard trees: at 1-3 inches of new terminal growth. Nursery stock: after trees reach the desired terminal height for lateral branching.125-500 ppm (62.5-250 ml KRIZOR per 10 L spray solution)Objective: branching. PHI 28 days.
Pear (non-bearing)First at 10-30% open flowers on old wood; second between full bloom and petal fall.250 ml/haObjective: increase fruit set. PHI 365 days.
Pear nursery and orchard treesOrchard trees: at 1-3 inches of new terminal growth. Nursery stock: after trees reach the desired terminal height for lateral branching.250-1000 ppm (125-500 ml KRIZOR per 10 L spray solution)Objective: branching. PHI 365 days.
Sweet cherry nursery and orchard trees (non-bearing)After trees reach the terminal height at which lateral branching is desired.250-1000 ppm (125-500 ml KRIZOR per 10 L spray solution)Objective: branching. PHI 365 days.

Other applications

CropsTimingDoseNotes
Sweet cherry orchard trees (non-bearing)In spring when terminal buds begin to swell but before shoots emerge.100-165.6 ml KRIZOR per 500 ml latex paintLatex application for branching. PHI 365 days.

Additional technical information

Target problem / deficiency symptoms

Programs documented for fruit set, flower retention, fruit sizing, russet reduction and lateral branching in apple, pear and sweet cherry.

Mixing & compatibility

KRIZOR is described as compatible with most commonly used foliar fertilizers and insecticides/fungicides. Avoid strongly alkaline products and mineral oil-based formulations. If in doubt, conduct a small-scale compatibility test and maintain constant agitation.

Frequently asked questions
